We live in a constant change, in which technological advances present new unknowns, social changes accelerate and the rhythm of life makes it difficult to find the moments for analysis. With that task, the one to reflect on the present to anticipate the challenges that the world of the immediate future will present to us, was born in early 2024 future space, an initiative of the Santalucía insurance company. A think tank that acts as a place of analysis and commissioning of ideas, always with an optimistic and hopeful attitude to help create a better future for the whole society.
Within future space we work on two large axes. On the one hand, the intern, which is intended to strengthen the strategic reflection of the company and make decisions with more information and future perspectives. To do this, it has a group of external experts, specialists from different areas of knowledge, which future space has baptized as lenses. These nine lenses cover issues such as energy and environment, with the Miriam Zaitegui biologist; Science and technology, with the columnist specialized in Science Esther Paniagua; Business, with Lluis Quetglas Servera, general director of the Vecdis Innovation Observatory; Culture and Communication, with Jaime García Cantero, Content Director of Retina, from El País; Economy and Finance, with José Ignacio Conde-Ruiz, president of the Expert Forum of the Santalucía Institute; Education, with Elsa Arnaiz Chico, president and general director of talent for the future; Legal Security and Regulation, with Federico de Montalvo Jääskeläinen, Professor of Constitutional Law at ICAD; in health and well -being, with Mariví Redondo Vega, Digital Health Coordinator of the UAX and member of the Scientific Committee of Telemedicine and Digital Health of the College of Medical of Madrid. And Sociology, with Emilio Luque, Professor of Environment and Society and Deputy Vice Chancellor of sustainability and 2030 agenda in the UNED.
On the other hand, future space also works an external aspect focused on sharing the knowledge it generates with citizens through the dissemination of several studies. Thus, future space has a public platform in which you can find the reports made by the organization, videos and other materials that serve to disseminate their conclusions.
How trust influences us
In its first year of activity, future space focused its analysis on a relevant and complex topic, which is often overlooked: trust. A key aspect within human relations, the economic and business activity that is experiencing deep changes following technological innovations and situations of social uncertainty in different parts of the world. During the past year, future space worked to analyze how trust affects all vital stages, what are its main conditions and how it affects different planes of society, from purely personal to the public, the politician or the economic one.
To do this, a group of experts have analyzed current trends to identify the factors that are forming, for better or worse, trust today, from the rise of artificial intelligence to the concern of citizens for their privacy in the world digital, social polarization or disinformation through social networks. The results of this work can be consulted on the future space website, in several agent -segmented reports (childhood, adolescence, adult stage and senior stage) and the general report with all its conclusions.
To help share this message and extend it to a major audience, it has also announced the first call for its awards, aimed at recognizing people, projects and media that work relevantly and innovative about the topics analyzed every year by their experts .
