Egg paste with cheese This is a tasty and simple to prepare a sandwich addition, which we often forget when the meal time comes. Even if it is easiest to cut a slice of cheese and put on a piece of bread, it is worth diversifying your diet. And eggs are one of the healthiest products – they contain a set of amino acids we need, unsaturated fatty acids, a lot of vitamins, minerals, as well as compounds such as lutein, lecithin or choline.
You should eat them in moderation because they also contain a lot of cholesterol. However, successfully – with health benefits – can sometimes replace a slice of cheese or sausages on our sandwiches.
You need the following ingredients to make this recipe:
- 5 eggs,
- 100 yellow cheese (e.g. gouda),
- a small bunch of chives,
- 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise,
- 1 teaspoon of mustard,
- Salt, pepper (to taste).
Put the eggs in a pot with lukewarm water (so that they completely immerse). Boil. Cook 8 minutes from the moment the water contains. Pour boiling water and pour the eggs with cool water. When they cool down a bit, peel off the shells.
Crush the eggs with a fork in a bowl or a deep plate. Combine with cheese grated on a fine grater and chopped chives (put a little to decorate). Add mayonnaise and mustard to eggs. Mix Season the paste to taste with salt and pepper.
Apply paste to chopped bread or croutons. Decorate with chopped chives. Serve with fresh vegetables, e.g. tomato slices.
