Amateur growing raspberries in the garden is becoming more and more popular among Poles. Due to the fact that this is not a very complicated activity, and raspberries belong to one of the most liked fruits, it is worth knowing what to do to make them fruit abundantly and healthy in the summer. The truth is that you have to take care of them all year round. In addition to the mandatory watering of raspberries, they also should, thanks to which they will not only sprinkle with fruit, but will also be resistant to various diseases or pests. Pruning shrubs is another important treatment in raspberry growing. Of course, we do it before they start fruiting, which is preferably in early spring. I am cutting shrubs in March. The plant has time to regenerate and prepare for the season.

It is thanks to the correct pruning of raspberry shrubs that the risk of a dangerous raspberry disease, which is the dying of shoots, and raspberry pests feeding inside the momentum is minimized. Regular pruning raspberries also promotes correct and abundant fruiting. Of course, the best date for pruning raspberries is early spring, just after the frosts are finished. The treatment involves the removal of branches damaged during frosts and weakened. In addition, it is worth getting rid of overgrown branches and leaving about the 10 strongest shoots. In this way you will thin the bush and provide healthy shoots to light. Also remember to cut raspberries on a dry and cheerful day. Thanks to this, the wounds will heal faster and will not be exposed to infections.
