For almost 20 years occupying a chair in the City Hall of, the new president of the house, (), 66, says he saw the offices become video studios, referring to the group of councilors who was elected.

In his first week leading the plenary, he already faced the first among pockets and governors, last Wednesday (6), about the coup attacks of. He says he personally talked to them and will allow everyone to speak, but “each in his time.”

In an interview with Sheet This Thursday (6), the (union) avoided if it was broken with the mayor (), of whom he was secretary of mobility. But he promised independence and marked a position against AEA in traffic in the city, his priority agenda.

He defended a strong regularization of the, which he said contributes to a “death industry” on the streets, and wants to reopen the debate on the imposing amendments of the councilors, that is, to make the payment of funds by the city mandatory.

What are your priorities for this year?
Stay alive! Jokes aside, my priority is to be a mediator, create freedom for everyone to talk. The more plenary time, the better. We have no voting, commissions or CPIs yet, so it’s time for councilors, especially the new ones, put their points of view. With respectability, without offenses anywhere. I also want to bring the camera closer to the periphery, create an app, open the building for visits on weekends. It’s a year, you don’t have much to do, right? It is leaving a mark.

Any priority agenda?
I come from the mobility area, so it bothers me the deaths in traffic, which are rising exponentially ,. I also think it’s important to discuss proposals for the motorcycle taxi – 55 councilors want to talk about this – as well as facilitate mobility and what I call distribution, which is each living more in its district.

Mr. He was part of the management of Nunes and was chosen by him to occupy this chair. How to guarantee the voter who will act independently, not for the mayor’s interests?
They are two different powers. Surely we will differ in many points of view. We have to have independence. Just as I want this conviviality with all the councilors, I keep with the mayor too. In the issue of motorcycle taxi or flooding in the Pantanal Garden, for example, I have a similar view of his, but not the same. It is normal for this to happen. And I can think something at my house, but here is the majority that will take the way.

How do you intend to act in possible crashes among councilors considered noisier?
In the first session [terça-feira] There wasn’t so much, yesterday [quarta] Already had. Had a speaker talking about the podium [Dheison Silva, PT] and others were screaming. Then I even talked to them personally and said: you can do exactly what they were doing, but each in their speech time, each in their square. I believe that after this tensioning, the rest of the session was even more balanced, more normal. Let’s see how it will be in the next.

Some councilors are from the base, but declare themselves independent and as they may harm the mayor. How will they deal with them?
In these 20 years of chamber I have always been from the base, because my voter at the end does not want to know if I am opposition or situation. He voted for me and wants his life to improve. Today, we elect a group of councilors who work more over the internet, the offices here became video studios. They have scattered vows throughout the city, their voters are of various places, ages and strata. So they come here and think differently. For me, there is no problem. And there is no CPI that attacks the government, the CPI has to go after the problem.

Make the amendments imposing, such as mr. Want, cannot it harm Nunes’ governability?
I entered this agenda because the opposition always complains that its amendments are not performed on time. I consulted all former presidents, such as Eduardo Tuma, who said that when he was president and Bruno Covas was mayor [ambos do PSDB]He stopped the session until the opposition amendments were agreed. Then I called the councilors and said that my position is that all amendments be paid. I said: Either we go the way to the imposing amendment, or continue on the way to dialogue with the executive. One of the councilors said he already had a bill on this, so I suggested that he reopens and we discuss to take to the city.

Mr. He wants a CPI about traffic deaths, but they started to increase when he became a secretary in 2021.
I took over after the pandemic. The phenomenon was the increase in the amount of motorcycles, and then comes the culpability of the applications. They promise their snack in ten minutes, and the boy kills himself on the way to deliver. This is the type of economy that causes problems to society. I am also in favor of more radars in the city, and then you will say that there is a disagree with the mayor. There is no fines industry in the city, the opposite, there is a death industry. I have already asked the mayor educational campaigns, and it is necessary to change the radars of place and put others in the school door, church, hospital, to protect pedestrians. The periphery almost has no supervision.

Mr. was responsible for the folder. Nthey fear that this CPI harme?
Why? Just take my actions, we left the blue band, the amount of things we did by reducing accidents. But if you want to investigate me, I support, I’m bringing this CPI. I was secretary for 20 months and took this postpandeia period. The traffic campaigns were ready to do, how many we did? None. There is a lot that Mayor Ricardo Nunes has to put it now to happen.

Which motorcycle regulation model by application mr. Defend?
It will be the agenda of the month. The best regulation is what we take here together. It has to be a strong regulation. Consider the displacement of the motorcycle, what course these boys have to do, if they have a chest in the rear and also prepare the citizen himself. I want to listen mainly to the union, because they are on the street. It may be that it is deciding to ban, or that we will only have on the periphery, or just in the blue range, or just the displacement X. We have to discuss here. But [concordo com o prefeito que] Release now would surely cause more deaths. If you die 1.3 motorcyclist every day, with back this number will increase.

Want to return to the Mobility Secretariat after the presidency?
That’s what I like, right? If I can contribute to the city, my name is available. But I never claimed anything, neither being a secretary nor being mayor. Faced with a political agreement from several parties, I was remembered for both positions, and the conclusion was that it was better to stay here right now.
