The aircraft at first took off with 2 people, took off from Campo de Mars Airport in the North Zone at 7:15 am. According to information, the control tower lost contact with 7:16 am and fell shortly thereafter at 7:20 am in the Lapa region, west of the capital.
According to initial reports, the plane tried to make a forced landing and eventually crashed over several vehicles. In addition to the aircraft, a bus and other vehicles caught fire. So far, two people have been rescued with injuries and two bodies have been found in place of the fall.
