The governor (Republicans) and the mayor (MDB) mourned on social networks the crash of a plane on Avenida Marquês de São Vicente, in the west of São Paulo, on the morning of Friday (7). The tragedy left two dead – the occupants of the aircraft – and seven injured, who had light abrasions. A bus, hit by the wreckage of the aircraft, caught fire.
“Unfortunately, we started the day with this tragic air crash in the state capital, with the confirmed deaths of the pilot and the aircraft’s co -pilot,” wrote Tarcisio.
“I deeply regret the accident involving the fall of a small aircraft that hit a bus on Avenida Marquês de São Vicente,” said Nunes.
The two dead, which were charred, were the occupants of the aircraft: the gaucho lawyer Márcio Louzada Carpenna and the pilot Gustavo Medeiros. Six injured were at the bus stop – among them, an elderly woman. A motorcyclist who was on the scene was also injured – the seven had minor injuries and were attended.
The aircraft took off from Campo de Mars Airport in the North Zone around 7:15 am. According to initial information, the plane crashed shortly thereafter at 7:20 am when the pilot was trying to make a forced landing.
