Soaking is a proven method that has been used for years and is cheap, simple, ecological and, above all, effective in washing even the dirtiest clothes or objects. Although our grandmothers have already used this method of deprivation of spots, it is currently gaining momentum, especially on social networks. Will it force us less often to use a washing machine?
Soaking It is ideal for washing clothes, various pieces of clothing such as hats, but also bed linen and sheets, towels, wipes or tablecloths.
- Includes soaking clothes in hot water with natural detergents for several hours.
- They can be soap flakes, baking soda or bórax. The latter component can be obtained in most pharmacies.
All you have to do is to soak dirty clothes and mix it for a while. It is good to do it in gloves to avoid irritating your skin on your hands.
Soaking – a method of washing that causes waves. What does it include?
For soaking is the best bath (or a large bowl).
Pour hot water into the tub and add the solution with your hand:
- 1 measuring cup of baking soda,
- 1 dose bórax,
- 2 scoops of washing powder.
How to do it?
- It is important to mix the bicarbonate and bórax soda in equal proportions, ie 1: 1, and the washing powder should be twice as much. Everything should be mixed thoroughly until the individual components are dissolved.
- Insert things for washing and mix them in the bathtub with this solution (ideally every 60 minutes).
- Soaking should take several hours (at least four) to one day – depending on the degree of contamination. Finally, rinse the soaked clothes very thoroughly.
Soaking is perfectly suited for washing heavily soiled clothing. After a few hours of such soaking, the water turns into a dark and cloudy color. This is a sign that dirt has been removed from the clothes. This method is effective, simple and cheap, but time consuming and therefore requires a lot of patience.
