Trump imposes sanctions on ICC

Donald Trump has signed an executive order to impose financial sanctions and travel visas to the US to members of the International Criminal Court (ICC) that collaborate with the Court’s investigations against US citizens or allies of Washington.

The executive order of Donald Trump forbids entry in the USA of leaders, employees and agents of the TPI and closest to and anyone who considers themselves to have helped the investigation work of the Court.

The names of the targets were not immediately disclosed, and it is up to the Treasury and State Departments to determine the people and organizations that will be the subject of sanctions.

“We appeal to our 125 States Parties, civil society and all nations of the world to remain united for the sake of fundamental justice and human rights,” he added.
