US President Donald Trump announced today that it will set up a faith in the White House and ordered Justice Minister Pam Bodi to set up and lead a special team to eliminate what he called for prejudice to Christians within the federal government.
“The mission of this special group will be to immediately limit all forms of targeting Christians and discrimination against them within the federal government, such as in the Ministry of Justice, which is completely horrible, in the IRS (Tax Office), the FBI and others Services, “Trump said, speaking at a Christian event.
He stressed that he would sign an executive decree later today, which will command Bodi as “leader of a special group – brand new – to eliminate prejudice against Christians”. It did not give examples of such a prejudice.
Another decision by Trump raises potential questions regarding its constitutionality regarding the separation of state-church, with the first amendment of the American Constitution setting limits on government support of a religion.
Trump also said he would create a new committee on religious freedom.
“If we do not have religious freedom, then we have no free country,” he said.
