The Algarve reached the largest number of guests ever in 2024, with tourist accommodation establishments hosting 5.2 million visitors, revealed the Algarve Tourism Region (RTA).

The tourist markets that most contributed to the increase of passengers in Faro were the British, with 4.4 million passengers (plus 0.3%), German, with 1.13 million (plus 9.7%), and the Irish, with 967,000 passengers (plus 7.9%), needs.
