A government wing (PT) began to defend the name of the federal deputy () to the Ministry of Science and Technology, but the plan faces obstacles within the PT and the PSB itself.
Ministerial reform, whose goal is to open more space for centrão allies, is expected for the coming weeks, with optimistic projections of completion before Carnival.
The folder to which Tabata is considered by a government wing is today under the command of Luciana Santos, from PC do B, who should go to the Ministry of Women.
The idea is still incipient and was not treated with the president, according to reports, but already animates the surroundings of the parliamentarian.
Officially, the deputy says she was not probed or invited to take office, but neither dismissed this possibility.
Allies also score her relationship with the folder, since her career was changed after Mathematics Olympics, promoted by the ministry of Eduardo Campos, then Minister of Lula.
Those who defend the entry of Tabata into the government cites the parliamentarian’s commitment to guidelines related to education and research, as well as the fact that she is a young woman with prominence in politics, which would help to bring these characteristics to the first echelon.
On the part of the PT, however, the name of tabata bumps into resistance. It has been criticized on the left since the pension reform, when it voted in favor of the proposal.
In addition, Lula’s assistants complain that she would not have made the president’s emphatic defense during the campaign of last year’s City Hall, when he was the target of both () and ().
The name supported by the government was (), defeated in the second round against Nunes. Tabata declared support for Boulos, but declined to attend campaign events.
For these interlocutors of the president, the entry into the parliamentary government would not necessarily result in expanding the political field, just as his declaration of support for Boulos was not converted into a vote in São Paulo.

“In my view, there was not much reciprocity and recognition by the PT of what the PSB did to pave the president’s tight victory in 2022. Tabata can lend dynamism, playfulness to help the government, give a different dynamic,” he said.
