Elon Musk announced on Friday (7) that he will reject an OGE official, the Trump government’s government efficiency department, who had fired a position in the Treasury Department after the release of tweets that defended racism and eugenics .
Musk’s decision came after Vice President JD Vance suggests the employee’s reintegration and former President Donald Trump’s support to the idea.
Musk made the ad on his social platform X, responding to Vance’s recommendation. “He will be brought back,” Musk wrote, adding that “making mistakes is human, forgiving is divine.”
Less than an hour earlier, President Donald Trump was asked about Marko Elez’s posts, the former 25-year-old employee, and Vance’s opinion about his reintegration to the doge.
During a press conference at the White House, Trump expressed his support for Vance, stating, “If the vice president said that,” did you say that? “I have the vice president.”
Elez had fired on Thursday (6), after the Wall Street Journal question the White House about its connection with an X account that made the tweets.
