A Norwegian company specializing in the tourism sector has opened vacancies to hire 35 bus drivers, offering salaries that can reach 3,400 euros a month. Opportunities include various cities around the country, such as Bergen, Geiranger, Haugesund, Kristasand, Oslo, Stavanger, Stryn and ålesund, providing a work experience to Portuguese in one of the world’s best quality of life countries.
Working conditions and requirements
Contracts include full and partial work options, with a base remuneration of 40,000 Norwegian crowns per month, approximately 3,397.84 euros. The labor regime foresees rotating times, with an average of 40 hours per week and possibility of remunerated overtime.
In addition to the competitive salary, selected workers will have access to rental accommodation and a training program. The positions are, mostly, seasonal, with a contract from April to October, although there is the possibility of permanence throughout the year.
To apply, it is necessary:
- Have valid driver’s license;
- Being fluent in English (other languages are an asset);
- Have prior experience as a bus driver;
- Be a citizen of the European Union (EU), European Economic Space (EEE) or Switzerland;
- Obtain and maintain the passenger vehicle driving license (PCV – KJøreseddel) in Norway, including verification of criminal record and medical certificate.
Functions and Responsibilities
Contracted drivers will have the responsibility to operate tourism buses on different routes, ensuring the safety of passengers. The work includes:
- Perform pre-viageo inspections (tires, lights, oil and fuel levels);
- Maintain cleaning and conservation of the vehicle;
- Ensure a high quality customer service;
- Record and report the hours of work correctly.
