WHO warns of care and seeks global actions to combat the disease and improve the lives of affected

On World Cancer Day, remembered on Tuesday (4.FEV), the (World Health Organization) warned that every minute 40 people are diagnosed with the disease across the planet – and they embark on a real journey to overcome the disease.

“They can’t be successful alone. Throughout the world, WHO works with partners to create global coalitions, catalyze local actions and amplify the voices of people affected by cancer ”evaluated the director general of the entity, Tedros Adhanom.

In his profile on the social network X (former Twitter), Tedros that WHO operates in various areas, from the supply of medications for pediatric cancer treatments to global campaigns to eliminate cervical cancer. “We are working to improve the lives of millions of people”he declared.

Among the guidelines published by WHO to reduce the risk of cancer are:

  • Do not smoke;
  • Practice physical activity regularly;
  • eat fruits and vegetables;
  • Maintain a healthy body weight;
  • Limit alcohol consumption.
