Cuba and US territories on alert
A 7.5 magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale shook northern Honduras during Saturday afternoon, reports the German Geoscience Research Center (GFZ). It should be noted that the USGS system underlines that the earthquake was 7.6.
The earthquake was 209 kilometers southwest of George Town, in the Caimão islands, which are in the midst of several Caribbean countries that are on alert.
The shaking occurred around 23:23 to 10 kilometers depth, added the German center, which initially referred a magnitude of 6.89, then updated to 7.2 and, however, rose the value for the current 7.5.

In danger are, at this moment, four zones are: Cuba and CAIMÃO islands, overseas territory of the United Kingdom, at the level of threat; Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands, two American territories, at alert, the second most serious, just behind the warning.
This is because the US system issues alerts to all regions, but only gives details of US territories.

🟠A tsunami advisory continues for Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
