The first lady started to publicize her schedule after receiving criticism of the opposition and international transparency of Brazil
The first lady Janja Lula da Silva embarks this Sunday (9.FEV.2025) to Rome in Italy. Among the first lady’s commitments is a visit to Pope Francis in the Vatican.
The Minister of Development and Social Assistance, Wellington Dias, will accompany the first lady to Italy. According to the Poder360the trip will be made in commercial flight.
The first lady and the minister will participate in the 48th session of the FIDA (International Agricultural Development Fund) Session, linked to the UN (United Nations). The event runs until Thursday (13.FEV).

At the event, Janja will attend a meeting to choose the new president of the Global Alliance to Combat Hunger, created at the G20 summit in Rio, in November 2024. Brazil seeks to chair the alliance.
