As mentioned, the name Lilibet has been taken into account in Poland since 2021. Just then, the second child of the royal family appeared in the world. I am talking about the most famous people from this family, i.e. Prince Harry II, his wife Meghan Markle.
The marriage decided to give her daughter a name after great -grandmother, i.e. after the then reigning Queen Elizabeth, who was the mother of King Charles. The name Lilibet was treated as the diminutive of Elizabeth. That’s what the future monarchy was called when she couldn’t say her full name correctly yet.
There was some speculation around this name in the media. According to unofficial reports, when the couple turned to Elizabeth II with a request for acceptance, the queen was of course to express her, but thinking that the child would receive a full name, not his diminutive version.
So what does the name Lillibet mean? Looking at the fact that it was created from the full name Elżbieta, he is attributed to Hebrew origin from the word “Eliszeba”, which we translate into “God has an oath”. In addition, according to the Bible, this name was borne by the mother of John the Baptist.
Can you hurry a diminutive name? It turns out that yes. Prince Harry and his wife turn to their daughter affectionately, calling her Lili. This diminutive is positively associated with a beautiful flower of lily.
