More than 50 people died this Monday when a bus carrying 75 passengers drew a bridge at the northern entrance of Guatemala city, authorities said
At least 51 people died on Friday in a bus accident in the city of Guatemala. The previous balance of victims provided by the authorities reported 31 dead.
“There are 51 bodies in the provisional morgue,” a spokesman for local firefighters told the press.
The accident involved a bus that carried 75 passengers and drew from the Belize Bridge, the main access bridge to the capital of Guatemala from the North and Northeast areas.
The bus had come out of San Agustin Mateduastlan, in the Department of El Progresso, about 100 kilometers from the city of Guatemala.
