Celta de Vigo responds to the provocations of Betis Ultras with “Grândola, Vila Morena”

Following Celta de Vigo’s victory over Betis 3-2 last Saturday, the Galician club left a symbolic message to opposing fans. During the game, a group of Betis ultrasound made fascist greetings, provoking the house supporters.

In response, at the end of the match, Celtic de Vigo decided to play “Grândola, Vila Morena”, by Zeca Afonso, one of the hymns of the Cloves Revolution in Portugal, known for his strong antifascist message.

The gesture was seen as a “white glove plateau” to the provocations of the opposing fans and marked the end of the game in a symbolically.
