Philadelphia Eagles destroyed Kansas City Chiefs attempted to become the first NFL team to win three consecutive Super Bowls, with a 40-22 overwhelming victory in New Orleans on Sunday night (9).
The defense of the Eagles was simply immense, stifling the creative conductor of the chiefs, Patrick Mahomes, and in attack his own quarterback Jalen Hurts led the way, throwing to two touchdowns and running to another while Eagles brutally revealed his 2023 defeat to the chiefs on Super Bowl 57.
The stunning Eagles Running Back, Saquon Barkley, won 31 yards in the first half and broke the historic NFL record of the most yards in a more playoff regular season, to complete the Cake of the Eagles Championship.
The forceful victory secured the second victory in the Super Bowl for the Eagles franchise. The other title achievement was in 2018.
The game
The Eagles, who had already won the Super Bowl LII by 41 to 33 against the New England Patriots, chased Chiefs quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, with six sack and one fumble, plus two interceptions, limiting Kansas City to six points in 57 minutes.
Eagles quarterback, Jalen Hurts, completed 17 of 22 passes for 221 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. He also led the team in 72 -yard races and a score in 11 races, helping the team to take revenge on Kansas City, who won the same confrontation two years ago.
Newbie Wide Receiver Xavier Worthy got eight receptions for 157 yards and two touchdowns for the chiefs, prevented from becoming the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls.
Eagles’s SAQUON BARKLEY, NFL’s offensive player celebrated its 28th anniversary establishing two NFL records in the first half, becoming the scrimmage jar leader in a single season (regular more playoffs) in his first race Before breaking the racing yard record in a single season in the final play of the first half.
Barkley ended with 57 yards in 25 races and added six receptions for 40 yards. Throughout the regular and post-season season, Barkley ended with 2,857 yards of scrimmage and 2,504 yards running to break both records previously detained by Terrell Davis do Denver Broncos (1998).

The Eagles opened 27-0 with a 29 -yard Field of Jake Elliott and, after the chiefs failed in a fourth descent attempt, Hurts found Devonta Smith alone behind the defense for a 46 -yard scoring play and an advantage of 34 to 0.
Mahomes, who completed 21 of 32 passes for 257 yards, with three touchdowns and two interceptions, finally put the chiefs on the scoreboard with a 24 -yard touchdown pass to Worthy, with 34 seconds to the end of the third period.
In the first score of the Eagles, a hurt pass through the right sideline was coupled by Jahan Dotson by 27 yards to prepare a first and 1 -yard goal out. Hurts hit a later play of the “Tush push” formation to help Philadelphia open 7-0.
Kansas City’s safety, Bryan Cook, ended with the second consecutive scoring opportunity of the Eagles with an interception of Hurts on the 2-yard lines of the chiefs, but a break later, Philadelphia made 10-0 with a 48-yard kick of 48 yards kick Elliott, ending a breakthrough of seven plays.
The Eagles had an advantage of 179-23 in yards in the first half and surpassed the Chiefs for 345-275 in the game.
