“We are seeking to meet the technical area of the Court,” says Finance Minister after meeting with the rapporteur at the Court of Auditors, Augusto Nardes
The Minister of Finance, said on Monday (10.FEV.2025) that the government seeks “Meet the technical area” of the TCU (Federal Court of Audit) to unlock part of the resources of the Step Program. The head of the economic team spoke about the subject after meeting with Augusto Nardes, rapporteur of the case at the Court of Auditors.
Haddad said there was the “Desire to hit the step with the court” on the continuity of the program focused on low -income students. “We bring him a budget of the 2025 and 2026 budget, what is scheduled for this year and what may be next year”stated in an interview with journalists.
The farm holder defended the “Program legality” and stressed that there is a high approval of Congress. “This is a law approved with the support of all political parties. There was no base division and opposition. All parties recognize the importance of the program and want it to continue ”these.
Haddad also stated that Nardes invited him and asked to hear the farm formally in the case. Said the rapporteur in TCU “expressed very favorable to the program ” e “recognizes the merit ” from the initiative for education.
“Minister Nardes is ahead of the process and invited me to listen to the farm formally regarding the importance and the need for continuity of the program. He himself manifested himself very favorable to the program, recognizes the merit for education and we are seeking to serve the technical area of the Court and at the same time ensure the continuity of the program that today serves 4 million students ”stated in an interview with journalists.
Nardes says he has no solution
Minister Augusto Nardes said that the TCU “It’s not against the program” Step Foot and the Court wants the adjustment “Via Budget”. He stated that the conversation with Haddad went through this theme.
