Long received the award for best Ibero-American movie in Goya
São Paulo, SP (Folhapress) – “I’m still here” continues to gain visibility in the international scene. The Brazilian film, directed by Walter Salles and starring Fernanda Torres, increased the number of theaters in which she is screened in the United States, consequently raising her collection this weekend.
The film raised more than $ 1 million -about $ 5.8 million in the current quotation -this weekend in the US, being aired in 704 theaters, according to the indiewire website. Until then, the Brazilian feature was displayed in 93 rooms.
The movie’s revenues in the country so far is about $ 2.3 million -which is equivalent to $ 13.4 million.
“I’m still here” follows in an intense campaign of awards, reaching historical achievements. Last Saturday, 8, the film received the award for best Ibero-American movie in Goya, the main awards of Spanish cinema.
In addition, the feature competes for three Oscar statuettes: Best International Movie, Best Film and Best Actress, for the interpretation of Fernanda Torres -which took the best drama actress award on the Golden Globe.
