The Public Prosecution Service of Alagoas (MPAL) offered, on Monday (10), a new complaint against Albino Santos de Lima, known as, for the death of Louise Gbyson Vieira de Melo, a transgender woman. The crime occurred on December 11, 2023, in the Vergel do Lago neighborhood of Maceió.

According to the Civil Police of Alagoas, Albino Santos de Lima is considered “the largest killer serial in state history”. According to the investigations, He can be responsible for at least ten murders.

This is a. In January, he was denounced by Mpal for the murder of Tamara Vanessa dos Santos and the attempted murder against a couple on the night of June 8, 2024, in the Ponta Grossa neighborhood, also in Maceió.

According to the new complaint, the prosecution, presented from the gender perspective, was made based on recommendation 128 of the National Council of Justice (CNJ), which guides that, in cases like this, where the defendant is a man and the victim is woman , the trial is filed by this perspective.

The complaint is also based on Article 5 of the Maria da Penha Law, which defines violence against women as any action or omission motivated by gender that results in death, injury or suffering.

According to prosecutor Antonio Vilas Boas, responsible for the complaint, the evidence of the case is robust, including the expert report that confirms that the weapon used was the same as other homicides committed by Albino.

“The evidence is more than proven, officially and technically, through the expert report. The weapon of the crime was the same used by the defendant against other young women in the same region. There is no doubt about another violence committed by him, with the end of death, that we are facing qualified homicide, another heinous crime and he must go to the popular jury and answer for his actions, ”said prosecutor Vilas Boas.

Planned Crimes

In the complaint, prosecutor Vilas Boas pointed out that Albino Santos de Lima showed an obsession for “Justice” repulsion to females. According to Vilas Boas, the defendant used social networks to monitor victims for months, accumulating photos and information before chasing and executing it, as was the case with Louise.

In the investigations, the prosecutor found that Albino had a specific term for his victims, calling them “hated of Instagram” or “special deaths”, and maintained a folder called “investigating” with women he intended to attack. According to the Public Prosecution Service, the investigations also revealed that Albino stored folders with photos of the targets and journalistic articles about the crimes, as well as taking selfies where their victims were buried.

The crime

On the night of December 11, 2023, around 9:45 pm, Louise returned from school home. Along the way, she noticed a suspicious car that was following her and asked a friend for help, who accompanied her close to her residence. When the car disappeared from the sight, both believed that the suspect had gone away. However, it was at this moment that Louise was approached by Albino, who fired several shots at his head, without the victim having any chance of defense.

Louise’s friends who were nearby reported that they saw a man of medium stature, dressed in black, fleeing the scene after the crime. Examinations performed by the Scientific Police confirmed that the projectiles taken from the body of Louise belonged to the 380 caliber pistol, the same used by Albino in other murders – a revolver belonging to his father, a reserve military police officer.
