El Salvador began the implementation of Brazilian traffic monitoring technologies in early 2025, with the objective of reducing deaths from road accidents. The initiative includes the installation of 9 moving weighing scales and 65 electronic inspection equipment.

Devices, such as Doppler, are capable of detecting various infractions, from speeding to speed to red light. The first results show a 20% reduction in the number of accidents, 37% in the number of traffic deaths, and 16% in the number of injured.

In addition, there has been a 45% increase in the capture of hazardous offenders, and almost half of the infractions captured are related to the red light advance. President Nayib Bukele (Nuevas Ideas, right) stated that the focus of the new measures is to combat the leading cause of deaths in the country, and not increase the collection through fines.

“The main thing about death no Our country is the irresponsibility of drivers ”these bent. “We need to correct. We already tried through advice, but it didn’t work. Now we need to be more strict ”.

In addition to the inspection, El Salvador invested in the Falcon VS platform, a Brazilian equipment that integrates data from safety cameras and traffic radars. Technology uses artificial intelligence algorithms to predict possible accidents and configure alerts according to customer needs.
