Good news for surfers, divers and bathers: In the previous year, particularly few attacks by sharks on humans were documented, as the ISAF database of the Florida Museum of Natural History in Gainesville (USA) announced. According to this, there were 47 unprovoked shark attacks on humans in 2024. Also, only four fatal cases are said to have occurred in improvocated sharks (in 2023 there were ten).
