The Constitutional Court (ÚS) accepted the complaint of the deputy of the National Council (NR) of the Slovak Republic Lucie Plavakova (PS) in the case of its reporting from the parliamentary hall for the stickers on its computer. The MEP objects to the court violation of her fundamental rights, including freedom of expression.
“I objected to a violation of my fundamental rights, especially the limitation of the exercise of the parliamentary mandate, but also the intervention in freedom of expression in connection with the prohibition of discrimination for my belonging to the LGBTI minority. Reporting deputies and deputies from Parliament’s plenary because of their identity has nothing to do in a democratic society“Plaváková said in response to the adoption of the complaint.
According to information from the ÚS on the adoption of the complaint for further proceedings in the part of the alleged violation of fundamental rights, he decided at a non -public session on 6 February III. The Senate of the ÚS composed of chairman Robert Šorl and judges Martin Vernarský and Ivan Fiačan.
