The definitive denouement of the crisis in the voice and the CIS is approachingwhich will lead to either further performance of the program declaration or to early elections. Prime Minister and leader of coalition Direction-SD Robert Fico said this in the video on the social network. According to him, the direction is ready for all variants.
“The solution to the crisis caused by the voice and the CIS by not holding their parliamentary clubs takes up a lot of energy,” admitted Fico. According to him, the elections are still far away.
The coalition had 79 deputies at the beginning of the parliamentary term. Last year, however, three deputies – Rudolf Huliak, Pavol Ľupták and Ivan Ševčík – spoke from the CIS club. The Voice-SD club lost three deputies this year, Roman Malatinec joined the CIS and Radomír Šalitroš and Samuel Migal excluded from the party.
MEPs around Huliak had previously declared readiness to help fulfill the coalition of the government’s program statement. However, they pointed out that the negotiations are still ongoing and it depends on their outcome. Several ministers have admitted changes in the government related to changes in the situation in the National Council (NR) of the Slovak Republic.
The coalition also discusses nominations for personnel elections, such as the STR Council. The coalition officials also announced the possibility of convening an extraordinary meeting of the National Council of the Slovak Republic, where all the nominations of unoccupied functions would be resolved, including the election of the President of Parliament.
