Deputies are expected to launch on March 12 the mixed parliamentary front of the productive chain. The ceremony will take place in a city that has the title of Brazilian beer capital by federal law since 2017.
The front, which will be chaired by Federal Deputy Covatti Filho (PP-RS), is born with the support of 199 parliamentarians. The main objective is to boost the sector -oriented legislative agenda, which generates about 2.5 million direct and indirect jobs.
Brazil is the third largest producer of the drink, behind only the US and China. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, there are currently 1,847 breweries operating in 771 municipalities in the country, with production of 15 billion liters in 2023.
