Embraer () and the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) signed the approval of the financing of 16 aircraft sold to the American company Republic Airways. The value of the contract is R $ 2.1 billion.
The aircraft involved in the business are the e-175.
The signature was in solemnity in the Planalto Palace with the participation of the President of the Republic, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

In addition, the Ministry of Science and Technology, Finep and Embraer signed a letter of communication to approve the funding of the R $ 331 million Strategic Innovation Plan.
The funds would be for the development of the flying car and to give more competitiveness to Brazilian aircraft in the international market.
