Vice-president of the Federal District PT, former federal deputy Geraldo Magela says that President Lula is right to seek to govern with the help of center and right sectors, although he was elected from the left.
Magela’s demonstration was in response to the party’s second largest current, the movement.
Pereira complained about Lula’s concessions of subtitles from outside the progressive field and said that the left space needs to be increased in the ministry.
Magela disagrees. “The government has won from the left and balances to govern with the help of the center and part of the right. And that’s merit, not error,” he says. He also considers a mistake to increase the left subtitle space, such as PT and allies.
“It is not correct to propose that the president decreases the spaces of allied parties. It is not feasible. What the PT needs to do is dialogue with the government and the parties that make it, to solidify support in Congress,” he says.
