The number of dead journalists has risen last year and is the deadliest of the last three decades. The committee for the protection of journalists says it was never so dangerous to exercise the profession.
Last year, at least 124 journalists died in 18 countries. Most deaths, about 70%, occurred in the Gaza Strip. Of the 85 journalists who died in that region, 82 were Palestinians.
According to A US -based international organization, the war in Gaza is not preceded by the impact on journalists and demonstrates the deterioration of reporters protection rules in conflict zones.
In Sudan, devastated by a civil war, six journalists were killed last year. As many as those who were murdered in Pakistan.
In Syria, Iraq, Latin America and Caribbean also grew the number of reporters dead.
This year, although we are still mid -February, six journalists have already been murdered.
