Chamber CCJ promises clashes with councilors who prioritize ideological agenda – 13/02/2025 – Panel

Once the most important of the São Paulo City Council, it should gather advocates of ideological guidelines, with the expectation of heated decisions throughout this year.

The names indicated by the parties should be made official until next week. However, among those already agreed internally, are Janaina Paschoal (PP), Lucas Pavanato (PL) and Silvia from the feminist bench ().

“I will be in the CCJ representing PSOL and being rigorous so that the far right does not take advantage of projects that ferment our constitution and disrespect human rights,” says Silvia.

New to the house, Pavanato emerges as an exponent of the identity agenda – between their proposals of law, are suggesting birth sex as the only criterion for public toilets and commercial establishments.

“I will conduct my work with autonomy, trying to help the projects that I consider important, but especially with technical analysis,” says Pavanato.

Professor of Criminal Law and one of the authors of Dilma Rousseff’s impeachment request, Janaína says she will act technically in the house.

“I went from Alesp’s CCJ in much of my mandate. Alesp, my feeling, was even more polarized, and I conducted my analyzes and opinions technically,” says the PP councilwoman.

“If it was possible there, it will be possible here. But I already anticipate that I have a pro-parliamentary legal view,” he continued.
