A person was arrested in the act for drug trafficking in the “Operation Delivery”triggered this Thursday (13) by the Integrated Force to Combat Organized Crime (FICCO/MG), in Uberaba, City of Triangulo Mineiro.
According to investigations, a criminal group used a calling company to market drugs. After the first contact, the criminals made deliveries directly on client homes through recruited motorcyclists. For this reason, the operation was named “Delivery”, a concept known in the trade of products delivered at home.
The operation served 18 search and seizure warrants and ten arrest warrants, as well as an arrest warrant against an investigator who was already arrested in the Ribeirão Preto Penitentiary, in São Paulo.
In addition to the arrest in the act, were seized about R $ 31,951.00, four vehicles, 15 cell phones and various cocaine paper.
About 150 police officers from the federal, civil, military and criminal police were present in the operation.
The current action is an offshoot of the “Operation Third Time”, held in September 2024, which aimed to dismantle a criminal faction involved in drug trafficking in the city. At the time, 25 arrest warrants and 31 search and seizure warrants were served in Uberaba, Araxá and the region of Naviraí (MS), which resulted in the indictment of 31 people.
After further investigations, it was discovered that there was a criminal group that operated similarly, but different from the previously dismantled faction. Although it has independent characteristics and modus operandi, this group, the target of “Operation Delivery”, is also dedicated to drug trafficking and other crimes in Uberaba and the region.
FICCO/MG, coordinated by the Federal Police (PF), is composed by the Military Police (PMMG), Penal Police (PPMG) and Civil Police (PCMG), acting in a decentralized manner throughout the state of Minas Gerais in combating organized crime , with the state public security agencies.
