The Palestinian militant Hamas movement confirmed on Thursday that it will be released by Israeli hostages according to the set schedule. This was reported by AP, according to which the dispute was clearly resolved by a threatening ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, TASR writes.
The release of another group of hostages would allow the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip for the time being. However, the future of the ceasefire remains questionable, AP added. Israel has not immediately commented on the latest development.
Hamas explained in a statement that his delegation had interviewed interviews with Egyptian and Qatar intermediaries in Cairo, focusing on the conditions of the ceasefire agreement “especially in connection with the securing of housing for our people and accelerated the addition of prefabricated houses” material, fuel and continuing flow of humanitarian aid and “everything that is set out in the agreement”.
Hamas had previously threatened to postpone further dismissal of Israeli hostages, because Israel allegedly did not fulfill its obligations in the form of supplies of statutes and shelters. Israel then, with the support of US President Donald Trump, threatened the renewal of the offensive in the Gaza Strip unless Palestinian militants do not release hostages.
When Hamas attacked Israel in October 2023, he killed about 1,200 people, and about 250 more drove them into the Gaza Strip like hostages.
Out of the originally captured Hamas and his allies, 73 people continue to detain from Israel 7 October 2023. There are also three other hostages in the Gaza Strip since 2014.
As part of the first phase of the Hamas ceasefire, he released 16 Israeli hostages and five Thai people – out of a total of 33 promised. Eight of these 33 is the dead of the Israeli government.
In exchange for the release of the hostages, in the first phase of the implementation of the ceasefire agreement, about 2000 Palestinians detained in prisons in Israel should also be brought to freedom. Among them are people who have committed serious crimes against Israel’s inhabitants, including terrorist.
The Israeli army, in response to the unprecedented invasion of the Palestinian terrorist chamos of October 7, 2023, launched a massive air and later ground operation in the Gaza Strip.
According to the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, which does not distinguish between warriors and civilians, the 15-month fighting in the enclave claimed more than 48,000 victims of lives. Most of the dead are women and children.
