History and Structure
The history of the place dates back to 1930, when the Pinheiros Várzea river began to be busy for amateur football. In 1995, the Council for the Defense of Historical Heritage (Condephaat) toppled the former soccer court, recognizing its historical and cultural importance. After a period of changes and revitalization, the space was inaugurated as a municipal park in September 2008.
Today, the park maintains a soccer field and has multi -sport courts, running track and walking trails. The space also offers one of the main accesses to the Marginal Pinheiros bike path and, on Sundays, is part of the leisure bike lane that connects the Ibirapuera and Villa-Lobos parks.
