Minister Szijjártó described Trump’s call with Putin as a big step: Three years we hope the war will end

Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó responded to Wednesday’s call between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. From the point of view of the war in Ukraine, he described it as a great step, reports TASR newsletter in Budapest based on the report of the server Hang.hu.

“For three years we have been living in the shadow of war, and for three years we hope the war will end. Today, after a telephone conversation between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, we got a big step closer to fulfilling this hope, ” He wrote the head of Hungarian diplomacy on Facebook. The Minister expressed the belief that the negotiations after the phone call would be successful and that after three years, peace could return to Central Europe.
