The Ponto Verde Society (SPV) reinforces its commitment to sustainability by supporting two important international tournaments of Rugby Sevens: Junior 7S – Rugby Sevens Tournament, which runs on February 15 and 16, and the Algarve 7s Sports Festival, marked for June 6 to 9. During these championships, SPV will be present with educational initiatives aimed at sensitizing the public to recycled packaging and the adoption of good environmental practices.
Junior 7S – Rugby Sevens Tournament, organized by Sports Ventures and Rugby Club Agronomy, will take place at Rugby Agronomy, covered with help, being intended for young athletes from U14, U16 and U18 levels. Algarve 7s Sports Festival, promoted by Sports Ventures, will feature 120 teams from various nationalities, consolidating itself as one of the largest rugby festivals in Europe.
To ensure the correct separation and deposition of packaging, SPV will provide green, blue and yellow ecopoints, encouraging all participants and viewers to actively contribute to packaging recycling goals.
In addition, both events will have interactive activities that want to educate and involve families and children in the recycling process. Noteworthy are the recycle mania, a giant tray with questions to test participants’ knowledge about packaging recycling, and the fishing game, which challenges the gifts to correctly put the packaging in the ecopoints.
To make the experience even more engaging, the tournaments will be attended by backpackers, who will offer gifts to participants, and with an inflatable with the message “RECICLE ALWAYS”, promoting learning through fun.
“By supporting reference rugby events such as Junior 7S and Algarve 7S, we reinforced our commitment to environmental education and the promotion of packaging recycling in Portugal. To achieve packaging recycling goals, it is essential to work together, and that’s exactly what we look for with this collaboration. By joining sports and sustainability, SPV takes another step in building a more sustainable and conscious future, where the act of recycling becomes more accessible and practical for everyone, ”says Ricardo Sacoto Lagoa, marketing and communication coordinator of SPV.
