The European Union (EU) will have to quickly sober out of “military madness” and realize that it must be sovereign in opinions and attitudes to survive. This was stated by Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) in response to US President Donald Trump’s call with Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to him, the Union has no idea of the relationships between the US and Russia. It criticizes the EU that it went to a total offensive in the war in Ukraine. According to Fico, Trump and Putin will decide what happens in Ukraine.
“In the EU, we do not even know what is actually happening in relations between the US and Russia, which are absolutely decisive to end the military conflict. I do not know if this is not a bit embarrassing when some EU Member States and EU institutions are seeking places behind the peace of peace,“Fico said in an opinion sent by TASR from the Office of the Government of the Slovak Republic.

Fico recalled that Trump called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky after a phone call with Putin and told him what to expect. “For example, something as unimaginable as democratic elections.
