The Federal Supreme Court (STF) suspended, on Wednesday (12), an investigation by the Federal Police on alleged deviations in health of the state of Goiás between 2012 and 2018, when Marconi Perillo (PSDB) ruled the state. The decision complies with a request for the defense of the former governor, who alleged absence of evidence and abuse of authority.

But now they have extrapolated all boundaries and with extreme cruelty. They are doing an operation for alleged facts that have been held 13 years ago, ”said the former governor in a statement.
The Goiás Communication Secretariat countered the statements, calling Perillo’s position “joke”. In a statement, he accused the former governor of trying to divert the focus of investigations with “low attacks” to the current governor Ronaldo Caiado and the institutions involved.
The investigation, which began in 2019, investigated crimes of embezzlement, active and passive corruption, criminal organization and money laundering. If you advanced, the penalties could exceed 40 years in prison.
