Lemon and bay leaf – what could we prepare for it? At first glance, these two raw materials cannot be more different, but the other will make sense to the other. You don’t believe?
Do you have a lemon at home? And could I see him? Of course, this is just a memory of an excellent Czech film, but the truth is that lemon is really useful at home, not only in the kitchen. Let’s take a look at them with a little different eyes and instead of flavorings we will suddenly see the air freshener or repellent. The change is just life, so why not try something new with this combination.

Lemon aroma is commonly added to industrially produced air fresheners. It is very intense and can fill the whole room with a long -lasting freshness. Moreover, it also has positive effects not only on our mind, but also on overall health. After all, inhalation of lemon essential oil is recommended, for example, for colds and the like.
A little lossy into the apartment
Bay leaf can also spong, but it needs more heat than lemon. For our purposes, however, it will be enough. In this case, the dried laurel leaves will perform the function of the repellent in this case, which is especially useful in the summer months. It will use essential oils that reliably repel insects. These include, for example, Cineol, but IO other specific substances that difficult visitors prefer to avoid.

How to make a simple repellent aromadifuzer at home? It can’t even be easier anymore. Simply cut the lemon and stick several bay leaves between its pieces. You can win with the resulting form of a freshener, which then becomes part of the table ornament. We can also place it on windows and other places where we can expect insect air raids.
The winter atmosphere at a moment
In winter, when we do not have to face insects, but on the other tent we want to create the right atmosphere at home that belongs to the cold period, we can also use a different combination in a similar way: orange with cinnamon.
Don’t be afraid of complexity
The procedure will be the same as in the first case. Cut the orange and adjust so that the halves can be stable in the destination (it is usually necessary to cut the lower part into the plane. Just be careful not to roll too much and get to the flesh). The upper cut part then serves not only as a vaporizer of fragrant essential oils, but also as an ideal place for stabbing cinnamon sticks broken into smaller pieces.
Those who do not have a cinnamon at home can also use a ground, which simply sprinkles the surface of the orange. It is preferable to sprinkle only half, so that the other side remains free and can without resistance to discharge the beautiful scent into the space. The greatest intensity of the fragrance is logically achieved when we place this natural air freshener in a warmer environment, calmly next to the radiator.
