American President Donald Trump posted on his social network social network that he had a “highly productive” connection with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday (12).
Trump said the two leaders also agreed to work together and visit each other’s nations during the call, which Kremlin said he lasted almost 90 minutes.
“We agreed to work together, very closely, including visiting each other’s nations. We also agree to have our respective teams starting the negotiations immediately, and we will start calling President Zelensky of Ukraine to inform you about the conversation, something I will do now, ”wrote the American.
Trump said he had appointed Secretary of State Marco Rubio, CIA director John Ratcliffe, National Security Counselor Mike Waltz and special envoy Steve Witkoff to lead the US trading team. Trump’s list did not include his envoy to Ukraine, Keith Kellogg.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the Russian President agreed with Trump that it is “time for our countries to work together” and that a “long-term solution can be reached through peace negotiations” but warned that it is “Essential to resolve the reasons for conflict.”
Peskov said Putin invited Trump to Moscow and was prepared to meet US officials to discuss “issues of mutual interest.” The two leaders also discussed bilateral economic cooperation and the Iranian nuclear program, the spokesman said.

The conversation between the leaders happens a day after Moscow, in a movement that the White House said it was a demonstration of “good faith” that would help negotiations advance.
