Brands Vaidebet, Obabet and Betpix365 receive judicial authorization to act nationally
In a decision issued by the Federal Judge of the Federal Regional Court of the 1st Region, Pablo Zuniga Dourado, BPX Bets Sports Group Ltda obtained a favorable injunction against the Federal Union. The decision, issued on Thursday (13.FEV.2025), authorizes the brands Vaidebet, Obabet and Betpix365 to operate fixed quotas bets throughout the national territory. The measure happens during the period of adaptation regulated by the SPA/MF (Secretariat of Awards and bets of the Ministry of Finance).
Betpix365 was sponsor of Red Bull Bragantino. Vaidebet was Corinthians’ master sponsor until June 2024, when the company unilaterally broke the sponsorship contract with the club. The measure was adopted after the Civil Police began an investigation into a possible transfer of part of the agreement to a company considered “orange”. The investigations are still underway.
The dispute began in October 2024, when the AGU (Attorney General of the Union) excluded BPX Bets Sports Group from the list of companies authorized to operate during the adaptation period, citing the preservation of public interest and administrative morality. The decision was based on criminal suspicions involving José André da Rocha Neto, the company’s majority partner.
However, in January 2025, the federal judge Joao Moreira Pessoa de Azambuja partially granted BPX Bets Sports Group’s early appeal. He ordered the Union to include the brands, and in the list of authorized operators, as long as the only impediment was the police inquiry involving José André da Rocha Neto.
After not complying with this decision, BPX Bets Sports Group appealed, alleging non -compliance with the court order. The golden judge then gave a period of 48 hours for the Union to prove compliance with the decision. The Union requested an extension of 15 days, alleging need for internal processing of the demand, which was rejected by Dourado. He defended the importance of preserving BPX Bets Sports Group business activity, avoiding irreparable damage, and ordered the immediate inclusion of brands in the list of authorized operators, under penalty of a daily fine of R $ 1,000.00.
