The Progressive Party of Acre lost, on Thursday night (13), one of its oldest and most beloved militants: Roberto Carlos do Palheiral. At age 65, he was run over while walking down the Jandaia Avenue, in Residencial Andirá, in Rio Branco, and could not resist his injuries, and died at the scene. The accident occurred around 8 pm when he was trying to cross the street and was hit by a motorcycle.
Roberto Carlos, who was born in Tarauacá, stood out for his loyalty to Governor Gladson Cameli and Progressives, with over 30 years of militancy. Even though he was never elected for a public office, he was an important figure in party campaigns and was admired for his strength and dedication. Over the years, it has also been known as a rallies animator and charismatic figure among PP members.

“Roberto Carlos gave us the privilege of sharing his story and his dreams with each of us. He was an affable soul and a kind heart, always willing to fight for the causes he believed, ”said Governor Gladson Cameli, who issued a note of regret for his friend’s death.
The accident also caused sadness among netizens, who used social networks to regret Roberto’s death. Several followers expressed how dear and highlighted he was a true political articulator. “Great friend, great articulator. May God keep you, ”wrote a netizen. “I always remember him smiling,” commented another.
