The president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) said the Brazilian economy will “surprise” financial market analysts in 2025, as it did in 2023 and 2024. Lula complained about the projections that pointed to lower growth in previous years – and not materialized.
The President gave an interview to Radio Club from Pará on the morning of Friday, 14. Lula said the Gross domestic product (GDP) of 2024 should grow 3.7%. He complained that “the Copom and entrepreneurs people use so -called macroeconomics, but I work a lot to microeconomics” and said that what goes for him is the amount of money circulating. According to him, “there is no miracle in the economy, it has to do the obvious.”
Lula repeated that workers who earn $ 500 do not buy dollars or invest in a treasure title, but buy food and basic items for everyday life.

“This money goes back immediately to the market. The market has to hire another job. The factory has to hire more. This is what is making the Brazilian economy surprise the so -called experts, television analysts, who never give good news. They never believe in anything. It is always disgrace. As I am a guy who came from below, I worked a long time and I believe in this circulation of resources, I will say the following: We surprised in 2023 and 2024, we will surprise by 2025 and will continue to grow, ”said the president.
