Portuguese soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo leads 2024 ranking; American tennis player Coco Gauff would have to overcome 25 men’s gains to be in the ranking
The site released on Wednesday (12.Fev.2025) the list of highest paid athletes in the world in 2024. Among the first 100, there is no woman.
The ranking includes modalities such as football ,, golf, tennis and boxing and takes into account salaries, cash awards and sponsorships.
Portuguese soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo remained at the top of the list thanks to his contract with Saudi Arabia Al-Nassr, accumulating $ 215 million in salaries and $ 45 million in sponsorship. NBA NBA Stephen Curry Basketball player occupies the 2nd place with $ 153.8 million in earnings in the year.
The best paid woman is tennis player Coco Gauff, an American who raised $ 30.4 million in 2024. Former US Open champion, however, is far from the list. She would have to overcome the gains of 25 other athletes to appear among the top 100 best paid. Stypotyer Eileen Gu, also American, is in 2nd place among women, with $ 22.1 million received.
