President visits Belém, a host city of COP30, where he participates in a series of events and announcements of the federal government
The president (PT) gives an interview this Friday (14.Fev.2025), from 8:30 am, to Radio Clube do Pará, in Belém.
Lula is in the capital of Para, which will host the COP30 (United Nations Conference on Climate Change) in November, for an event agenda and investment announcements of the federal government.

Visit to works
Also in Belém, at 9:30 am, the president will visit the works of Parque da Cidade. The space will host in November the programming of E is considered the largest urban enterprise running in Pará.
R $ 980 million were invested and, according to federal government data, 74% of the works are already completed. The venture already has 500,000 m² of completed works, in addition to a landscape area of 500 hectares.

There will be another R $ 250 million from (National Bank for Economic and Social Development) of funding to the Government of Pará for macrodrainage and urbanization projects in the capital of Para.
According to the government, it is the largest investment in integrated urbanization of slums and peripheries already supported by the bank.
The values add up to the R $ 255 million already released by BNDES for the works in 2024, reaching R $ 505 million from the R $ 847 million of funding proposed for the project set.
At the ceremony, the BNDES and will sign the hiring of non -reimburseable financial support of R $ 45 million from the State of Pará.
The purpose is to strengthen the structure of the Pará Fire Department and the corporation’s actions in preventing and combating forest and unauthorized burning fires.
Another contract signed by BNDES will be the structuring of projects with the (Institute of Forest Development and the Biodiversity of the State of Pará).
Under the contract, the bank will provide technical services for support, evaluation, structuring and implementation of forest concession projects.
President Lula and Governor Helder Barbalho (MDB) participate in the contract ceremony.
Other announcements include phase 1-B of Belém Airport, with estimated investments of R $ 400 million work and another R $ 70 million for the anticipation of the works.
The investments of the Pro-Amazonian program will also be released, conducted by with a total contribution of R $ 650 million.
Macrodrainage and Urbanization
There is also the possibility of President Lula flying over this Friday about the macrodrainage and urbanization works of the Tucunduba and Murutucu basins.
The enterprise comprises the macrodrainage of 9 channels, including Vult (Vile, União, Leal Martins and Timbó) and the kind of Gentil Bittencourt.
In addition to the 9 channels, it is almost 10 km in length that should receive intervention. With a total investment of R $ 739 million, the works aim to improve urban infrastructure and the reduction of floods to about 300,000 people.
Other works in progress in the capital of Para are the Linear Park of Almirante Tamandaré and the Tamandaré River Terminal.
With more than R $ 220 million invested (including R $ 162.8 million from BNDES), Admiral Tamandaré Linear Park will be an urban park, while the river terminal intends to develop tourism in Belém.
Lula should fly over the installation works of the Belém International Waterway Terminal, with infrastructure for the operation of large vessels, such as cruise ships; The Amazonian Museum, a project with the partnership of BNDES; And the set of mercedaries and Casa Bndes COP30 space, a project with an investment of R $ 36 million.
