Nine flights were canceled and another 18 were alternated on the morning of Friday (14) at Belo Horizonte airport, in Confins.
The inconvenience occurred because the airport track was closed for an hour and a half in the morning after an Azul aircraft had to undergo unchecked maintenance at the site.
“The track was released at 8:20 am and airport operations are normally followed,” BH Airport said in a statement.
Azul reported that the problem occurred with a plane that would make a flight to Campinas airport in the interior of São Paulo. The aircraft “had to return from the track when waiting to take off. The plane was taken to the stop position, where the customers landed with full safety, ”says the company.
For this reason, the company added, “Nine Flights of the Company Origin or Destination to Confins had to be canceled. Some flights to the capital of Minas Gerais were alternated to other airports, later returning to Belo Horizonte. ”
“Azul regrets eventual inconvenience and points out that measures such as this are necessary to check the safety of its operations, primordial value for the company,” said the company.
