The Gol Man has arrived! Thiago Galhardo is officially the new Santa Cruz striker. The club announced the signing on Friday afternoon (14), hours after the player’s arrival in Recife, where the fans prepared a party to receive the player.
Mineiro from São João Del Rey, the player terminated a contract with Fortaleza and was free to sign with Santa Cruz. Galhardo is one of the first movements of new investors at SAF Coral, Vinícius Diniz and Márcio Cadar.
The idea is that the experienced striker assumes the protagonism of Santa Cruz in this new moment of restructuring that the club lives, with SAF forwarded. He will have the highest salary of the cast and signed a valid contract for two years.
Before the dispute of, Santa Cruz’s main objective of the season, Galhardo must play in the Pernambuco Championship. Its debut is planned for the semifinals of the state, scheduled for three weeks from now.
Galhardo was in Goiás, where he played in Serie B in 2024. In 27 games, he scored six goals and gave four assists. Throughout his career, he also defended clubs such as Internacional, Vasco, Ceará and Coritiba, as well as Celta de Vigo-ESP.
Earlier this year, Galhardo almost agreed with Athletic, club of his hometown. Without agreement with, the Minas Gerais club chose to give up the hiring.
