In 2017, GPU Panic participated in the track “Painting by Numbers” of the 3rd Moullinex album “Hypersex”. The collaboration joined and have performed several times live. It took eight years to assert themselves as a duo in MXGPU because as GPU Panic says “we didn’t want to take a step larger than the leg.”
They have come to the conclusion that they work “better together than separated,” says Moullinex, who adds that although the creative process is very chaotic, “he works.
Proof of this are the numerous compositions, which they made. Some will come out on the debut album “practically closed”, which will be released this year. Others could leave in another album.
They had two sessions at MAAT on February 8 at the exhibition of Anthony McCall, a British artist who visually influenced the artists.
On March 22, they make the Maat Oval Room a club. Consider the “space the third element of the band”. And on March 27, they work at the Porto Music House.
They are lived in a 360º format that allows “an immediate reaction” and adjust the alignment during acting.
The two musicians bet on this new project. Moullinex A Solo is in pause, as is the Salto, the band of Guilherme Tomé Ribeiro (GPU Panic). The group elements have followed other projects.
