Travel through the centuries with La Philharmonica

“The others are still in the canteen, so we are now playing a string quartet,” jokes violinist Lara Kusztrich, and it is not the first joke that evening in the honorable hall. However, it is not a relaxed flaky gaudicon concert what the six top musicians of the Vienna Philharmonic under the name La Philharmonica (with her guest colleague, double bassist Valerie Schatz) activate. Erich Wolfgang Korngold’s string quartet No. 2, op. 26 is a gloomy -at -up and almost dramatically rapidly presented piece of refined chamber music.
